Gameplay in Dandy's World revolves around completing mission machines on each floor to unlock progress. Each floor has a different layout, including machine locations, movement routes, and environmental pressures. As you progress deeper, the number of missions and complexity increase, forcing players to adjust their pace and allocate resources wisely.
Starting Area Overview
When players join, they go to the main Lobby, where they can keep track of their own progress and get ready for each turn. The system lets them pick a free basic Toon to play through for the first time so they can get used to the mechanics and stats. Players can see how far they've come in Mastery, do research on Twisted, and change things like Stickers, Skins, and Trinkets in the Lobby. In addition, this area has the shop, a Roleplay mode for a free-for-all experience, and elevators that are used to start turns. To keep the teams balanced and the pace of the match, each elevator can only hold a certain number of people.
Pre-Game Preparation
Before a turn begins, the entire team enters a short preparation phase. Here, players can adjust Toons, review previous selections, and check current equipment status to ensure readiness for the new turn. During this time, Ichor can be used to purchase basic support items, helping to reduce pressure in the early stages, especially important when the team is unfamiliar with coordination or roles are not yet clearly defined.
