Mad Trails

In Mad Trails, a soft physics-based off-road driving game, players have to control the throttle and balance to get over steep hills safely. The game's hard-to-navigate terrain and tires that change shape when you crash make it both tense and technical. Ready to try this rough track?

Game Overview

Mad Trails simulates rocky terrain in high detail. Steep surfaces, deep ruts, and loose rocks create many unpredictable situations, forcing players to constantly adjust throttle and steering. The time limit for each level adds a little bit of stress, making players have to keep a steady speed to avoid missing the top of the slope or flipping the car in the middle of the road. As you move up in levels, you unlock new cars that have noticeably different traction, grip, and bounce.

Soft Physics Experience

The game is notable for its soft tire mechanics that deform according to the slope of the ground. When the vehicle hits a slope or a rock edge, the tires flex slightly, creating a more realistic feel and more precise feedback. Small changes in throttle can have a big impact on stability.

Vehicle Control Basics

  • Forward: Press W or ↑ to apply moderate thrust, helping the vehicle grip the road when climbing a slope or over rocks.
  • Backward: Use S or ↓ to reduce roll or reverse slightly when repositioning on narrow ledges.
  • Steering: Use A/← to turn left and D/→ to turn right when negotiating a sharp turn or avoiding an obstacle.
